We arrive in Hue, former capitale of Vietnam until 1945. The city is rich in history and remain one of the highest culturel places in the country. We walk in the imperial city build on the model of the Chinise forbiden City.
A fortification protects the city. It ' s guarded by nine canons which are the symbol of the four seasons, water, wood, fire, earth and metal. Many palaces are being renovated. However we can visit the Supreme Peace palace and admire its architecture, its paintings, porcelains and the thone. There, the Emperor receives high dignitaries. In the afternoon, we rent a boat to sail up The Perfume river to the Thien Mu pagoda. A marble turtle, symbol of longevity, welcome visitors. A beautiful park is maintained by smiling young monks. In the evening, we are invited to a puppets show that is part of traditions.
The day after, we visit the mausoleums of seven Emperors NGyuen. Then we take the road again and stop at the ' col des nuages ' where we discover a superb view of the Chinese sea.
