    Vocabulary: prevention

"Prevention"! Oh Here is an unpopular word, and an unpopular concept too.

In people's minds, prevention is looked down on as "uselessness", and "waste"  of time

and money! Thankfully, as far as Public Health and National Security are concerned,

mentalities and actions are slowly evolving...

Yet, popular wisdom seems to be persuaded that "prevention is better than cure"/

"an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure" */ and also that "Better safe than sorry".

Prevention is also considered as being the "smoke detector principle" avoiding a more

    devastating and destructive fire...

That's why we should be convinced of the usefulness of this principle.
