Brief reminder of Part 1 (without mistake ) :
It was in this rural setting of Giverny that Monet took up residence in 1883 and remained there until 1926. His modest house was modified by the artist himself and decorated according to his taste.

    -------
The country-style interior is eye-catching, surprising but not shoking. The house is tastful, with a refined simplicity. The carefully preserved or restored decorations reveal the intimete life of the artist and his family. Nothing seems to have changed since his departure. Monet ' s gardens illustrate the painter ' s impressionist soule. He took pleasure in choosing his own plants and colour combinations, just as he would create a painting. This garden becomes both a work of art in itself and a source of inspiration for his paintings. It is a real palette of natural colours, with an infinite diversitie to allow for perpetuel flowering. Monet acquired the land on the other side of the road, crossed by a small stream. He had a pont dug to plant water lilies, weeping willows, and flower beds. All of this plant life reflected in the water creates a bucolic setting with only one feeture standing out, a small green bridge that crosses the stream. This simple landscape was to inspire Monet to create a series of 250 oil paintings, ' Les Nymphéas ' , which he produced during the last 30 years of his life.
Despite the years, this exceptional garden has retained all its charm of yesteyear, imersing us in the world of Claude Monet, which he shaped and tended like a painting.
