Short answers - verb to be in present
To make a short answer with the verb 'be' we write : 'Yes + subject + verb' or 'No + subject + verb + not/n't'
In spoken English we often use contracted forms when we give 'no' answers.
Examples :No, he isn't.( 'not' is contracted)
No, we aren't ('not' is contracted)
In 'yes' answers it is not correct to use contractions.
Example: Yes, they are. = correct.
Yes, they're = incorrect.
