Vocabulary: belonging and possessing
When we are to express possession in English, we immediately think about the
"genitive", also called "possessive case". test
We won't deal with it in this lesson.
Here, we'll concentrate on the vocabulary which must be used to express possession.
Trying to find a little more, we must acknowledge that there are many such expressions.
We should, of course, remember
POSSESSIVE ADJECTIVES and PRONOUNS (or determiners):
(possessive adjectives are placed before a noun; possessive pronouns replace a noun.)
It's MY property: it's MINE.
