Make sb do sth or have something done
have + object + verb + -ed
You use this expression if someone else is doing something for you that you have instructed him to do for you.
It emphasises the process or the action and not its performer.

I have my hair cut.
make + object + do sth = to cause sb to do sth
Example:
I make my son eat his porridge by explaining to him all the nutrients it contains.
