Under the effect of its own gravitea, this gigentic nebula eventually colapsed. The temperature became unbaerable and the pressure colossal. This process lasted for around fifty million year, until the temperature was so high that thermonuclear reactions (= fusion reactions between pairs of light atomic nuclei heat to very high temperatures ) were trigered, resulting in the fusion of hydrogen.
At the centre of this cloud, an ultra compac zone, made up of a large proportion of the matter that has gather in the centre of a disc, takes shape and eventually gives rise to a star, our SUN. Hydrogen continues to burn here, and will continue to do so for the next 5 billion years. As for the other part of the matter, resulting from the collapse of the nebula, it was used to form the planets and other objects that orbite it today
