    Inverted conditionals

    ➡️ First conditional (possible condition):

Example: If you learn a lot of English, you will be able to speak like a native one day. -> Should you learn a lot of English,...

    ➡️
    Negative first conditional:

!!! 'not' after the subject !!!

Example: If you don't stop smoking, you will die one day from cancer. -> Should you not stop smoking,... (not shouldn't you stop smoking)

➡️  Second conditional (unlikely condition or hypothesis)

Example: If I sold my car, I would have to go to work by train every day. -> Were I to sell my car,...

    Negative second conditional:

Example: If I didn't eat such good nutrition as I do, I would have to visit the doctor regularly. -> Were I not to eat such good nutrition,...

➡️ Third conditional (condition can't be fulfilled anymore because it has already happened another way) Modification: reformulation pour plus de clarté.

Example: If Rami had woken up earlier, he would have arrived in time at work. -> Had Rami woken up earlier,...

    Negative third conditional:

Example: If Dennis had not broken his right leg, he would have been fit to assist his football team on Saturday's match. -> Had Dennis not broken his leg,...

➡️  It's possible to have the if-clause after the main clause, of course: Modification: ajout de l'italique pour clarifier qu'il s'agit de la proposition introduite par "if".

Example: You will get sick should you eat the food out of the trash cans.

Now it's your turn to form correct inverted conditional sentences in the following test! Good luck!
