    subtraction (minus): minus = minus
    Example: Ten minus three = seven

    multiplication (times): times = times / multiplied by = multiplied by
    Example: Two times three = six

    division (divided by): divided by = divided by
    Example: Eight divided by two = four

    half: half = half of
    Example: Half of ten = five

    double: double = double of
    Example: Double of ten = twenty

    2. Comparing numbers:

    Here are the steps to solve a number riddle in English:

    2. Understand the keywords
    Make sure you understand what each word means. If you don't understand a term (e.g., divided by or double), make sure to look it up or ask for help before continuing.

    3. Do the calculation mentally or on paper
    Once you understand the riddle, perform the operation indicated. This could be addition, subtraction, multiplication, or comparison.
