    Mercury is the (1) planet from the Sun. It is similar in appearance to the Moon

    Venus is the (2) planet and the nearest to us. Venus crosses the Sun.
    This planet is very hot because of the greenhouse effect.

    Earth is our home planet. Earth is the (3) planet from the Sun. It is a beautiful blue
    and white ball when seen from space.
