I) USES
=========
a) Repeated actions which are no longer done:
I used to watch a lot of TV. (Now I don't watch much TV.)
Sarah used to get up at six. (Now she gets up later.)
b) things in the past which are no longer true:
There used to be fields where those houses are now.
Sarah used to have long hair.
B) HOW TO USE
============
a) "used to" can only be used in the past.
For present actions, we use the present tense:
Sarah walks four kilometres each morning.
b) Questions & negative sentences:
did + use to (use sans "d")
Did you use to go skiing when you were young?
Sarah didn't use to go skiing when she was young.
Didn't Sarah use to go skiing when she was young?
"used to" + infinitive
