Weeping Willow Fairy

The weeping willow fairy looks like a teenager. She is slim and graceful. She's got long wavy hair. It's blowing in the wind. Her eyes are expressive, bright and green with long eyelashes. She's got a cute little nose. Her lips are light pink and she's smiling. She's got four wings which are transparent with green and blue spots.
In the painting, she's wearing a green dress made from the leaves of the weeping willow. This dress is sleeveless. As a belt, she uses a thin and flexible branch of her weeping willow. She hasn't got any shoes.
The fairy is pulling on some branches on her tree in order to give birth to a glint on the surface of the river. On one of the leaves, there are a few ladybirds. The fairy seems very happy to see them. Her left foot is on a small stone and she's dipping the other one into the water. She's probably fond of swimming.
The weeping willow fairy is very sweet and friendly when she sometimes meets human beings.
Adapted from Cicely Mary Barker - 'The Flower Fairies'.
