    Hello dear Friends!

Another easy exercice that everyone can do! Let's write together...

    1. Do you like cheating ?

    2. Write against cruelty to animals.

    3. ‘When a screen is on, a child is off.’

    4. Do you understand some men’s absolute love for their cars ?

Go for it! with THE FORCE.

    Hello dears,

Glad to have an ANSWER to give you to work on...

ANSWER A: Topic 1. Do you like cheating?please, indicate possible mistakes and underline what looks clumsy.

Confronted with a predator, living beings are sometimes driven to cheat to fightback and defend oneself. They use cunning to hunt preys and feed. In short, they cheat to survive, It is the harsh law of life. These legitimate cheats are often incredibly ingenious and command my respect.

But there are also more or less big cheats to achieve one's own aims : cheats on the exams to pass, having worked hard enough, but also swindles from predators who prey on any victims naïve enough to fall in their trap. They use all their ingenuity to succeed in cheating people and can ruin their live. There are more and more of them, of all kinds. They force us to be constantly vigilant and extremely vigilant. A world like that is not tolerable.

I really don't like cheating, because Human relationship only work with mutual trust. Nevertheless, if I were in danger, I would not hesitate to cheat.

    for your help!

    I agree with alouettelulu's comments.

Confronted with a predator, living beings are sometimes driven to cheat to fightback and defend oneself. They (who is "they"?) use cunning to hunt preys and feed. In short, they cheat to survive, It is the harsh law of life. These legitimate cheats are often incredibly ingenious and command my respect.

But there are also more or less big cheats to achieve one's own aims : cheats on the exams to pass, without having worked hard enough, but also swindles from (right preposition? not sure) predators who prey on any victims naïve enough to fall in their trap . Hello dear alouettelulu,

Your writing "living beings" instead of the usual "human beings" tends to prove you're referring to animals. Is that true? If not, I'm sorry I don't understand the point developed in the first paragraph. Please, be more explicit.

Similarly, I'm not sure I understand the last part of your last sentence...

Dear Here4u, is it better and more understandable like this ?

    Do you like cheating ?

Confronted with a predator and feeling in great danger, living beings, animals or humans, are sometimes driven to cheat to fight back and defend themselves. Animals also use cunning to hunt preys and feed. In short, they cheat to survive. It is the harsh law of life. These legitimate cheats are often incredibly ingenious and command my respect.

But there are also more or less big cheats to achieve one's own aims : cheats to pass an exam, without having worked hard enough, but also swindles by predators who prey on any victims naïve enough to fall in their trap . The last part of the last sentence seems clear to me, even in its original version, but perhaps I haven't noticed something.

    Hello dears,

I don't understand how you can speak of 'cheating' when dealing with animals. Animals are genetically programmed to be 'cunning' and, for example, for a fox to hunt and eat hens, chicks or any sort of poultry... How can that be cheating?
I really don't understand and would need an explanation.

You write: 'if I were in danger, I would not hesitate to cheat.', I'm sorry, but Idon't see what you mean... Could you, please, give me an example. Sorry for these questions, but I can't bear it, when I don't understand!
    Have a great weekend.

    Hello, Here4u !

    Do you like cheating ?

    1) Isn’t animal camouflage a kind of cheating ?
For instance, animals blend in with the background, so their prey won't see them. Prey animals blend in as well, so they can escape from predators.
Maybe, the word « cheating «  is too strong and not appropriate. I don’t know.

    2) If someone wanted to harm me intentionally, I would try to escape by tricking him. For instance, to make him believe that I am in a place where I am not. So, I can run away while he is searching me elsewhere. Maybe « tricking » is more appropriate in this case…

    Is my post clearer ?

Hello dear Alouettelulu end dear friends,

Confronted with a predator and feeling in great danger, living beings, animals or humans, are sometimes driven to cheat to fight back and defend themselves. Animals also use cunning to hunt preys and feed. In short, they cheat to survive. It is the harsh law of life. These legitimate cheats are often incredibly ingenious and command my respect.

    - to lie (to) or behave dishonestly
    - to violate rules or agreements
    - to take an examination in a dishonest way, such as by having improper means of getting answers
    - Informal Terms : cheat on, [~ + on + object]to be sexually unfaithful to ]

    Vraiment, je ne vois aucune de ces définitions s'appliquer à l'exemple que tu donnes. Je pense vraiment que les animaux, guidés comme ils le sont contrairement aux Hommes (= H&F) (normalement), par leurs instincts ne peuvent pas être tenus responsables de "dissimulation" si leur peau imite la surface sur laquelle ils sont posés ; un renard ne peut être accusé de tricher s'il entre dans un poulailler et dévore des poules. C'est sa "détermination". Il ne peut pas manger des carottes;

Je continue à penser que ton paragraphe est "hors sujet", mais qu'il est très bien écrit.

Le deuxième paragraphe est également de très bonne qualité de langue, mais franchement, je le trouve aussi " hors sujet ".

    - 2) If someone wanted to harm me intentionally, I would try to escape by tricking him. For instance, to make him believe that I am in a place where I am not. So, I can run away while he is searching me elsewhere. Maybe « tricking » is more appropriate in this case…

    * tricking here wouldn't be 'cheating', it would be 'defending yourself, fighting for your life' etc.
Yes I do think 'tricking' is more convenient here.

I was thinking about ordinary cheatings (refusing to pay your train ticket and trying to get away with it)
    - cheating for an exam peeping on your neighbour's paper, or having a 'copion' (Lien internet
), cheating (sentimentally) with one person, of course, which is lying and being unfaithful.
    - very often lying is the same as cheating... Of course, there is cheating at games, which is less serious... and may even be fun...

If I were in great danger, I would try to defend myself and have the upper hand, but I don't think this is cheating.

Please, pardon me... I don't reject your writings : they are very good quality...
