Correction lettre de motivation

Bonjour!
Je postule pour un semestre au Canada pour améliorer mon anglais! J'ai du écrire une lettre de motivation en anglais et j'aimerais avoir des avis et pourquoi pas des élements de correction!

I am writing to you because I would like to do a six-month exchange program in the University of Manitoba on the occasion of my fourth year at the X.
I'm really interested in a semester in the University of X because it is a unique opportunity to discover a different culture, a new way of teaching and a new way of life. In addition to would enable me to complete my education, this stay would improve my English. Today it is essential to know speak English because it is the international language and to have studied abroad is an important advantage in a CV.
Finally, a year abroad is undoubtedly a very enriching experience and that’s why I am extremely motivated by the prospect of doing an exchange program.
I look forward to hearing you in the near future.
