    When/conjonction
    Message de emile59 posté le 21-11-2018 à 12:04:31 (S | E | F)
    Hello,
    Could you help me please?
I ask Peter the following question :
Where was Mary, when you last saw her?
1)Peter answers me :" when I last saw her, she was walking on the beach."
2)Peter answers me :"She was walking on the beach when I last saw her"
Please, is there a difference between the two sentences?
Thank you in advance for your help.

    hello,
No, there isn't any difference. Both sentences are grammatically correct and have the same meaning. It just dépends on what you want to focus on first: when you last saw her or that she was walking on the beach.
    Is that clear?
