    Translations/ two excerpts

    Hello everyone
It's been a long time since I last came here

I'm asking for your help please ... nevertheless, this time around, I haven't translated single sentences but two little excerpts! More interesting, isn't it?

Translation: How come you are taking so much luggage? Who is going to carry it? Answer me, Madeleine!" Sylvia said. "Guess what? I need five pants, two dozen shirts and three sweaters. And then two dresses, underclothes, a pair of pajamas...". "Well, well. I assume you're also taking your swimsuit, while everyone knows the weather is horrendous in this area of Scotland in November!"

Translation: I have never been told why there are two kinds of dandruff: greasy dandruff and dry dandruff. Fortunately, I don't have any: my hair is perfectly healthy, thanks! But I might want to ask my hairdresser about that, someday. He's always very happy with giving little advice about haircare products.

    Until next time !

    Hello!

    - OK, or "Why are you" (How come ~ Comment se fait-il que)
    - OK, or "said Sylvia"
    - Not "Guess what?" (maybe "Let's see"?)
    - pair(s) of pants / trousers ( "pants" means underwear in British English!)
    - It's funny, the French word "pull", from "pullover", because you pull it over your head
    - OK, or "underwear" ("underclothes" or "undergarments" more clearly includes things like petticoats and brassieres)
    - OK, or "suppose"
    - OK, or "bathing suit"
    - "while" is OK I suppose, but "even though" would be clearer

    - OK, or "explained" (even though technically "explain" is not a double-object verb)
    - OK, or "one of these days"
    - OK, or "happy to give"
    - "little" is missing something

    See you.
