Hello,
Here's a question about the use of the verb "help" : that will help me, for sure !
Well, I've always thought that I shouldn't use the preposition "to" after "help". See examples below :
-Could youhelp me push my car ?
-That will help me learn my lesson.
But, recently, I heard a English speaking person saying :
He'll help me to get this
So, here's my question, what's the best to use ?
should we or could we use the preposition "to" with the verb "help" ?
If both are possible, what's better ?

Je crois qu'il s'agit d'un problème de subordonnées infinitives avec ou sans "to"
On peut employer une infinitive sans "to" après le verbe "help"
Ex : He helped the woman open the door.
Et on peut aussi employer une infinitive avec "to" après le verbe "help"
Ex : He helped the woman to open the door.
"To" implique ici l'idée de difficulté à atteindre le but, car les propositions subordonnées à l'infinitif avec "to" expriment fondamentalement l'idée de quelque chose à réaliser, d'un but à atteindre.

I'm not a teacher, so I don't know what the official rule is but you will often hear sentences (which I think are considered grammatically correct)
such as:
She helped me to understand the situation
He helped me to realize my dream
I guess it's a stylistic choice. But again, I'm not a grammarian.

Hello,
Les 2 façons de dire sont correctes mais...la construction sans "to" est de style familier ou courant.
Dans un langage plus soutenu on emploiera "to" :
"He'll help me to get this."...cette personne parle donc un anglais très correct.
Voilà toute la différence entre ces 2 constructions.
