    where are the mistake?
    Message de fanny28 posté le 19-11-2007 à 18:49:13 (S | E | F | I)

    Good evening everybody!

    My exercise is this one:

Each of these sentences has a grammar mistake. Find the mistake, then write the correct sentence.

1: did you be interested in sport when you were younger?
I think that the good sentences are :
did you interest in sport when you were younger?
    Or
did you be interesting in sport when you were younger?

2: The sales projet did not be a success.
    my sentence:
The sales projet did not a success.

    And the last sentence

3: why you left work early yesterday?
    answers:
why did you leave work early yesterday?
    Or
Why did you early leave work yesterday?

The other sentences of my exercise are good .(I think)

    Thanks for your assistant

    Hello fanny28,

    Pour la phrase:
3: why you left work early yesterday?
    answer:
why did you leave work early yesterday?
    ta réponse est correcte.

Tu dois revoir la forme interrogative du verbe "to be" au prétérit pour les phrases 1 et 2, puis tu corriges...

thanks, I read the lesson of preterit and I found this rule

A noter que pour construire des questions ou des phrases négatives, on n'a alors pas besoin d'un autre auxiliaire (BE étant déjà un auxiliaire, on n'a pas besoin de l'auxiliaire DID)

1: did you be interested in sport when you were younger?
    Answer:
were you interest in sport when you were younger?

2: The sales projet did not be a success.
    Answer:
The sales projet were not a success.

I think that the answers are good

    thanks

No, Fanny, I don't think so...

were you interest-- in sport when you were younger?

2: The sales projet did not be a success.
    Answer:
The sales projet were not a success.
Quel est le sujet de cette phrase ? à revoir... (ainsi que l'orthographe)

On met l’auxiliaire au prétérit et le verbe aussi ? pffff

2: The sales project did not be a success.
    Answer:
The sales project was not a success.
