    Are these sentences correct ? - they sit on the 4 x 4 engine cowling. - I open my umbrella. - She moves (waves) her hand in front of my face to attract my attention. - She lies on bed on her belly and hide her face with a pillow . - i bend over to talk with my child

    Hello,
    Here you shouldn't put the verbs in the present simple. Use the present "continuous" instead("Be + -ing").
    Now, to be honest it could be in the past as well..

    As basic statements of fact, most of these sentences are correct. But to express an action that is happening now or in the past, rather than just a simple statement, brettdallen's suggestions are good ones.

    Check this sentence: She lies on the bed on her belly and hides her face with a pillow.
