    Grammar problems?
    Message de schtroll posté le 24-06-2009 à 17:57:40 (S | E | F)

    Hello,
I have written some sentences and I am not sure if they're correct:
1)Then I would like you to change the integrated circuit
2)I know you can fix my watch removing the battery
3)I don't want to send my watch and pay heavy sending cost needlessly
4)In fact I had already removed the battery and the schedule had become normal, but few times after the watch broke down again.

    Is there any mistakes?

    Hello,

    My suggestions in green.

1)Then I would like you to replace/change the integrated circuit.
2)I know you can fix my watch by removing the battery.
3)I don't want to send my watch and pay heavy sending cost needlessly.
4)In fact I had already removed the battery and the time setting had become normal, but some time later the watch broke down again.

PS You should've used "Are there..." with a plural noun.

    Hi,

    My two cents...

3)I don't want to send my watch and pay expensive shipping costs needlessly/for nothing/for no reason.
4)In fact I had already removed the battery and the time setting had become normal, but some time later the watch stopped working again.

    - You removed the battery and the watch started working...without a battery? Did you replace it?
(Even a broken clock is correct two times a day)

    Hope this helps!
