    Bonjour,

    here is the difference:

I have gone to work= I am still at work

I went to work = I am back home

There is no precise context so this is the main difference,

Feel free to ask for further question

    cheers

    sébastien

    Bonjour,
Prétérit = pour une action passée et terminée.
Present perfect = pour une action du passé qui a encore un lien exprimé dans le présent.

    hello!
    *here is the difference:
*when you say: i have gone to work , here you are using the present perfect simple which is a past action that has started in the past and continues until the present and we use it generally with:already, yet, never, ever,(for+ a period of time), (since+ a precise date).
we use also the present perfect simple when we don't precise at what time the action has happened.
    exemples:
    1. i haven't gone work yet.
    2. i have never gone work.
    3. i have gone work( no precise time).
    4. i have already gone work.
    5. i have worked in this company for three months (I'm still working).
    6. i have worked in this company since 1999. (I'm still working).

*but in the second case, when you say: i went to work: here you are using the past simple which is a past finished action that we use with : yesterday, last( week, year, month...) , ago, (in+ a past date).
    exemples:
    1. i went to work yesterday.
    2. i started work in 2003.
    3. i started work last week.
    good luck!!
