Hello Everybody
I've got a problem with the following stuff :
You can say that he is 2 years old in many ways :
He is 2 years old
He is 2 (is it correct ?)
I've got a 2-years-old child. With an "s" or not ??? With "-" or not ?
I've got a 2-year-old child (is it correct ?) Without "s" ?

Let's make it clear
He is 2 years old
He is 2 (perfect!)
I've got a 2-year-old child. (no S because 2-year-old is an adjective)
Is it ok now?

I've got a 2-year-old child. OK...but even better: I have a 2-year-old child.
Using "got" in this sentence is just an extra verb...it's not really needed as it makes perfect sense without it.
(Got, in many contexts, has become a wonderful "add-on" verb

Hello, in my opinion "have" and "have got" are equally correct; in fact I think that "have got" is better, because your child is something (in this case, someone) you can "show" or "present".
