I have been practicing since four o clock
she's written for this magazine since 1992
    Merci d avance.

    Bonjour,

I have been practicing since four o'clock

She's written for this magazine since 1992
Oui, She has been writing... marche aussi.

    Hope this helps!

Ihave been practising the piano since four o'clock.
Here we focus on the duration of the action which started at four and it's still continuing. that means the action is still in progress and how long this action has been in progress

SHE 'S WRITTEN TO THE MAGAZINE SINCE 1992.
HERE WE KNOW THAT SHE STARTED IN 1992 ,BUT THE ACTION IS NOT UNDER PROGRESS.
we can also say she has been writing ......since1992.
to make this tense easier to my science students here in Morocco, i used the Maths notion of intersection to teach the present perfect. eg intersection of past and present.
    Good luck
