Bonjour,
Il serait intéressant de savoir où se trouve Bonnie; par exemple à un guichet ou autre; ce qui me laisse penser que 'token window' pourrait être un 'token counter/ticket counter' où à l'époque des 'hygiaphones' il fallait presque crier pour se faire entendre.
Mais c'est seulement mon interprétation.

And "window" is being used in the sense of a "ticket window":
"a window through which tickets [or tokens] are sold (as from a ticket booth)"

I have never met one, have you? But the sentence is a bit bizarre:Bonnie stuck her mouth into the token window, shouting, "Excuse me!"
Normally you stick your "head" into a window, not just your mouth. How would one stick only one's mouth into a window?
