    Hi!

    Can you help me please?
    Could we say?
1)I had a trouble, reading this book.
    2)Doing my work, I had a trouble.
3)I had a trouble, starting my car.

    Thank you for your answers.

    Hello,
I think the question deals with the gerund construction.
To me, all are correct if you remove the comma in the first and third sentences.

    Hello.
The problem has nothing to do with gerunds. It's a question of noncountable nouns.
