Hello

Could you help me please? When do we put yet in the middle of the sentence?
Here are some examples
I had not yet quite realised my power
I have yet to meet her
This is because people are not yet numerous enough to jam the airwaves.
(Though the says at the end of the sentence.) what do you mean here?

Hello,
there are various "yet".

1) Yet, adverb, synonym for Nevertheless, however, still....

He was sick. Yet, he came. (at the beginning of the sentence)
He was sick. He came, yet ! (at the end of the sentence)

2) Yet = still in the French meaning of "encore", something that remains to be done at the time being:
I still have to clean the place up = I have yet to clean the place up (after the verb )

3a)Have you finished yet ? yet here means (from the time when your action began until now // so far)
No, not yet ! I haven't finished yet! I am still working on that project.
(yet is usually at the end of the sentence here,but you can leave it near not to achieve a special effect I suppose)

3b) Not yet: Have you done the washing up ? No, not yet. No, I haven't done it yet (yet will be at the end of the sentence)

In your examples:
1)I had not yet quite realised my power = I haven't quite realized my power yet. (you want to emphasize not yet by stressing it orally or you think "quite realised my power" is too long.
2)I have yet to meet her = I still have to meet her, it is a different yet
3)This is because people are not yet numerous enough to jam the airwaves.(same thing as in 1) )
