    To conclude, the concept of gender equality has evolved over the decades. Lately, the collective awareness of these problems give hope for a more harmonious equality than today. Indeed nowadays, most of women wish things hadn't evolved in a better way and they wish that life were as easy for women as it is for men.
    But according to me, the notion of gender equality outranks the mere vision of an harmonious social order. As said Kofi Annan, the seventh secretary-general of the United Nations and the 2001 Nobel Peace Prize : « Gender equality is more than a goal in itself. It is a precondition for meeting the challenge of reducing poverty, promoting sustainable development and building good governance. »
