    Hello,

I need your help please !
I have to write an essay on a quote
"A lie can be half way round the world before the truth has got its boots on"
I have already done the introduction.
Could you give me your advice?
    Thank you very much!

    INTRO :
Lies take part in life from time immemorial. Everybody has already lied or discovered a lie. But the world changes and progresses. In the twenty-one century the technology has developed and keeps developing. Means of communication multiply and improve. Information spreads everywhere and all the time. Because of these evolutions a lie’s lifetime becomes increasingly long.

    Hello.

It's not a bad beginning, but 'A lie can be half way round the world' indicates something other than the lifetime of a lie. What do you think it means?
    Sherry
