    Message de caroline14000 posté le 12-10-2013 à 12:46:11 (S | E | F)
    Bonjour !

J'ai eu un exercice à faire en anglais sur le passif (un peu plus complexe que "the mouse is eaten by the cat") mais je ne suis pas totalement sûre de mes réponses.
Pourriez-vous me dire si c'est correct, svp s'il vous plaît ?
    Merci d'avance

    1) They were serving tea when they showed me in and offered me a cup -> Tea was being served when I was showed in and was offered a cup.
2)They handed me the painting they had expected me to to buy -> The painting which had been expected to buy was handed to me.
3)They were pulling down the council flat -> the coucil flat was being pulled down.
4)In that scool they would not have taught us Latin & Greek -> In that school, Latin & Greek would not have been taught.
    5) The best surgeon was operating on him -> He was operating by the best surgeon.
6)The eventually caught sight of the plane -> The sight of the plane was caught.
7)People were staring at him -> He was being stared.
    8) People say she's an excellent guide -> She's said to be an excellent guide.
9)Someone must have attacked him->He must have been attacked.
    10) They are bound to arrest him -> He is bounded to be arrested.
    11) Smbody will have to deal with the problem -> The problem will have to be deal.
12)They were building a bridge -> A bridge was being built.
    13) They will have to call for the doctor -> The doctor will have to be call.
    14) You can't rely on him -> He can't be relied.
    15) No one could account for his failure -> His failure could not be accounted.
16)They were laughing at her and making fun of him -> She was being laughed and he was being made fun of himself.

    Hello!

    Hello,
    1) They were serving tea when they showed me in and offered me a cup -> Tea was being served when I was showed in and (was) offered a cup. ok
2)They handed me the painting they had expected me to to buy -> The painting which had been expected to buy was handed to me.(mettez I comme sujet)
3)They were pulling down the council flat -> the coucil flat was being pulled down.ok
4)In that school they would not have taught us Latin & Greek -> In that school, Latin & Greek would not have been taught. (mettez we comme sujet)
    5) The best surgeon was operating on him -> He was operating by the best surgeon.(manque la voix passive et le on)
6)They eventually caught sight of the plane -> The sight of the plane was caught. (the plane sera sujet)
7)People were staring at him -> He was being stared (***) préposition).
    8) People say she's an excellent guide -> She's said to be an excellent guide. ok
9)Someone must have attacked him->He must have been attacked.ok
    10) They are bound to arrest him -> He is bounded to be arrested.(vous surcomposez le participe passé, un peu comme broughted, seened...)
    11) Somebody will have to deal with the problem -> The problem will have to be deal.(participe passé + préposition)
12)They were building a bridge -> A bridge was being built. ok
    13) They will have to call for the doctor -> The doctor will have to be call. (participe passé + préposition)
    14) You can't rely on him -> He can't be relied **** (préposition).
    15) No one could account for his failure -> His failure could not be accounted (**) (préposition).
16)They were laughing at her and making fun of him -> She was being laughed(**) and he was being made fun of himself.

    Souvenez-vous que:
"They gave him a watch " a deux voix passives:
A watch was given to him.
He was given a watch. (traduction: on lui donna une montre)
    "teach" marche comme ça aussi.

    Hello!

    Hello,

They handed me the painting they had expected me to to buy :
-> I had been expected to buy the painting they handed to me.

They eventually caught sight of the plane:
-> The plane was eventually caught sight.

They were laughing at her and making fun of him:
->She was being laughed at and he was being made fun of.

    C'est bon comme ça ?

    Hello again!

    1. Ordre des propositions : "the painting I had been expected to buy" vient en seconde position derrière la principale qu'il faut remanier.
    2. "of" manque.
    3. "he was being": à supprimer dans la seconde proposition.
