    On/ traduction
    Message de funnix posté le 27-10-2014 à 17:24:40 (S | E | F)
    Hello,

What is the correct sentence in English between :
1°) It would be translated as “xxxxx” by us.
2°) We would have been translated as "xxxxx"
Using, impersonal structure, not the active form!

I think the first sentence is correct, but after all, why can't we use the second one?
    Thanks for help.

    Hello,
"we" can't be the subject of the second sentence.
We would have translated it as XXXX" is correct but not an impersonal form.
Sentence number one is correct indeed but "We would translate it as XXX" would be much lighter, your "by us" weighs two tons.
