    Indirect speech/help
    Message from angrepa posted on 10-12-2017 at 15:14:50 (D | E | F)
    Hello,
    My doubt is this:
Can be accepted: "...the explosion occurred..." instead of "had occurred"
    Thank you for any reply.

Could you please give the whole sentence? We can't help you without some context...

    Hello.
Here is the test and the correction provided.

He told me, 'I was reading a book when the explosion occurred.'
He told me that he had been reading a book when the explosion had occurred.
