    History with her/aide

    Hello,
    Could you help me, please?

Watching TV drama [SUITS], I found this expression,
[Do you have the history with her?]
I understood what it meant by the context. It was [Is she your ex-girlfriend?]
It's a good way to ask when, actually,I have to ask somebody about this type of thing.
I want to know other situation where you can use this expression.
    Please teach me some examples.

    Thank you for any reply.

    Hello
Do you have the history with her? strikes me as rather bad English to ask : Are you going out with her?
Even if I used those words, I would say :Do you have a history with her?
The correct word would be "affair" : Are you having an affair with her ?

Are you going out with her ?
Is there something going on between the two of you ?
Are you having a fling with her ?
Is there a love affair between the two of you ?
Are you wooing this girl ? (very old-fashioned)

    The rest is too rude...
