    Lend or borrow/use

    Hello,

I sometimes get confused with the use of lend and borrow, and I don't know which one should be used in the sentence. I am pasting a few sentences here and will appreciate if you could check these and let me know if they need any correction.
    Thank you

Sara, I don't have a personal camera, could you please lend me your camera for a day?
Sara, I don't have a personal camera, may I borrow your camera for a day?

John, would you please lend me $500? I will return the money within one week.
John, could I borrow $500 from you? I promise that I will return the money within one week.

Ayesha lent me her halter gown, which I worn in the evening function.
I borrowed a beautiful gown from Ayesha to wear in the evening function.

Well, I think you have understood the use of these verbs.
Your last 2 sentences sound strange (which I wore...not worn)
